3.14. Firmware cannot be flashed successfully using GlobalTop GPS tool, what's wrong?
First, double check that commands can be given to GlobalTop GPS module or that you can query GPS firmware version using mini-GPS tool or through MTK command.
Quick Flashing Introduction:
- Choose the correct com port
- Try to select a higher baud-rate if possible (ex 119200bps) (note: the baudrate is independent to the firmware setting, this is just selecting the speed used to flash the firmware.)
- Select the 3329 for series under options
- Choose download agent “MTK_AllInOne_DA_MT3329_v4.02.bin”
- Select the Firmware you want to flash using the ROM button
- Click Connect
- Click Download
If you are having trouble with flashing, you can try the force flash method:
- Follow the normal regular step up to download
- Turn the modules off and back on immediately
- Press the download button in the program
- Try a few more times if it failed.
