GlobalTop unveils sustainable power saving into the dual system modules

TAINAN, Taiwan –October 1, 2013 – GlobalTop Technology Inc., the market leader in Mediatek chipset based GPS module, announces the release of its super lower power dual system modules –Gms-b6, GPS+Beidou and Gms-g6, GPS+GLONASS. They are compact in size with patch antenna on top. These dual system receiver modules utilize MediaTek's new generation GNSS chipset "MT3333" which support up to 210 PRN channels with 99 search channels of satellite searching under -165dBm sensitivity, plus 10Hz maximum update rate for precise satellite signal processing under low receptive conditions; and 33 simultaneous tracking channels.

Gms-b6 and Gms-g6 dual system receiver modules are equipped with high profile power-conserving circuitry cutting down the overall power consumption further with which Gms-g6 module realizes 20% greater power saving comparing to the previous generation of GPS+GLONASS modules! With 23mA when tracking and 29mA during acquisition.

In addition to low power profile, the firstborn of the GlobalTop Beidou series –the Gms-b6 receiver module may operate in single system GPS L1, 1575.42MHz or GPS and Beidou-2 L1, 1561.098MHz dual system simultaneously. The additional firmware customization services offered by GlobalTop are open to all Gms-b6 users. These include geofencing, binary output mode, distance calculation and many more that enhances the overall system efficiency and shortens development time.
