Orchid 1

Orchid 1 (Bcs-u1623) is a Single Mode Bluetooth® Low Energy Profile Module, which utilizes CSR1010. Orchid 1 is designed specifically for the rapid development of cost-effective Bluetooth® low energy applications. Orchid 1, superb in ultra low power performance enables power constrained device to operate with much smaller battery making portables more light weight.

Overview

Orchid 1 (Bcs-u1623) is a Single Mode Bluetooth® Low Energy Profile Module, which utilizes CSR1010-the CSR new generation Bluetooth® low energy chipset. The module in a 16 x 23 x 2.3mm small form factor is equipped with on PCB antenna which is designed specifically for the rapid development of cost-effective Bluetooth® low energy applications. Its superb performance enables ultra low power connectivity and basic data transfer for applications previously limited by the power consumption, size constraints and complexity of other wireless standards.

Orchid-1 is GATT-based profile ready product which features a UART interface for transparent serial data transmissions (Serial Port Profile) or work as a client for hosts based on the supported profile and services -Proximity, Find Me, and Lighting Profiles. The module can be powered from a standard 3V coin cell battery for space constrained installation.

Orchid 1 (Bcs-u1623) is compatible with the latest iOS and Android phones. Bluetooth® device developers can now easily build BLE Profile Compliant devices.
