FireFly 1 (Gmm-g3) module is a 5th generation stand-alone GNSS module enabling both GPS and GLONASS generally with lightning fast TTFF, reduces the time to first fix and increases positioning accuracy, especially when within rough urban environments, and exceptional low power consumption in a small form factor (11.5*13*2.1mm).
- Overview
The GlobalTop FireFly 1 (Gmm-g3) module utilizes MediaTek's new generation GNSS chipset "MT3333" supporting various location and navigation applications including autonomous GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO*,QZSS, SBAS, DGPS (RTCM) and AGPS. It supports up to 210 PRN channels with 99 search channels and 33 simultaneous tracking channels. (*GALILEO will be supported)
This chipset has the industry's highest level of sensitivity (-165dBm) as well as instant Time-to-First Fix (TTFF). It also combines many advanced features including AlwaysLocate™, EASY™, EPO™ and logger function.
FireFly 1 is the ideal SMD solution for those who wish to incorporate GPS functions into their very small form factor device.
